# From Construction Worker to Web Developer

## BIO

**Name:** Sam
**First Job:** Web Developer
**Country:** USA
**Company:** Self-Employed

I first dabbled in website coding during my junior high school years (back when HTML 4 was all the rage!). I found it enjoyable, but at the time, I didn't take it too seriously. Fast forward 20 years, I realized the need for a new skill set that would not only pay well but also allow me to work remotely. That's when I remembered how much I enjoyed coding in school, so I decided to give it a second chance.

"I realized the need for a new skill set that would not only pay well but also allow me to work remotely."

While there are numerous coding platforms out there (and I've tried quite a few), none of them matched the ease of learning I experienced with Mimo. The curriculum was presented in a way that just clicked with me, which is why I stuck with it.

"I've tried quite a few coding platforms but none of them matched the ease of learning I experienced with Mimo."

Now, I proudly hold the title of a certified web developer. It's a credential I love having on my resume and sharing with prospective clients. It adds credibility and allows me to establish trust right from the start.
