# From IT Analyst to Junior Front-End Developer

I used to work as an IT analyst, which taught me a lot about software architecture and integrating different systems. But I rarely had a chance to create something on my own. I just delivered assignments for developers, communicated with them, and tested the results. I admired what they created, and constant learning, coding, analyzing, and creating things sounded like a very good career to me.

I came across Mimo and thought it was a great opportunity for me to learn how applications and websites are created. I had no previous experience, but Mimo helped me realize that a developer job is within my reach. I quit my job a month after finishing Mimo because I wanted to focus on coding and job hunting. I used the time to finish my full-stack project, create my portfolio website, and update my LinkedIn profile. Then, I started applying for jobs, but I never stopped learning. I took other short courses, mostly in technologies relevant to the jobs I was applying for. I was also refreshing my knowledge by going through what I learned at Mimo.

In the end, I got a job as a junior front-end developer at Qrowdsy, which I found through a mutual connection on LinkedIn. I feel like I’m on the right track with my career because I can imagine being happy in this position for a long time. And if something changes, my knowledge is still a great basis for other technical jobs.
